Acorn is currently looking for a Trainee Trades Person in the Aberdare area. This is an entry-level role for someone interested in learning a construction trade whilst they work and earn.

Interested in an opportunity to earn while you learn with one of Wales leading specialist construction contractors? This could be a perfect opportunity for yourself to become a fully-qualified Trades Person who will gain skills that will be held with yourselffor the rest of your life.

To be considered for this role you must have a driver's license, but a car is not needed as company vans are provided.

No construction experienced or CSCS card required, this is a brand new role for someone looking for their first role or a change of job.

Whilst working in a construction environment, we are looking for someone who is happy to work outdoors and potentially at height in a team environment.

This is a Monday to Friday role working approximately 40 hours a week.
We are looking for reliability, hard work ethic, polite, team player and a willing to learn. Once fully trained, the successful applicant will be able to repair various concrete items for example chipped brick/block that can be filled and carefully colour-matchedto look as good as new

Role duties could include concrete repair on:

Railway bridges
Walls
Car parks
Facias and soffits
Floor slabs
Roads
