Our client is part of a prestigious global engineering group and are considered as the market leader.

Specifically, they design, develop and manufacture bespoke equipment and automation for the aerospace industry (please contact JMT for more detail).

NOTE:
This role is ideal for someone looking for to go down the electrical / PLC route.

You can be either mechanical or electrical, so this is a unique opportunity to really grow and develop your career, receiving training and mentorshipfrom senior electrical and controls engineers.


The role:

  • As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you'll perform a range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic activities for the company, including:
  • installation and site facilities,
  • Providing breakdown and maintenance cover on a varied range of machinery,
  • Troubleshoot and maintain the equipment (e.g. PLC, NC, Robot controllers, etc.).
  • Support Electrical & Control Engineer in Installation, commissioning, modification, optimization of hardware and software configurations on Automated machinery.
  • Support Electrical & Control Engineer in Commissioning automated systems both inhouse and externally
  • Document service incidents through the respective Broetje Automation database systems including the Service portal, site logbook.
  • Perform technical product training and basic user function training for customers.
  • Willing to travel nationally to meet the project requirements.

Would be beneficial to have experience or knowledge in:

  • Reading and interpreting wiring system diagrams
  • Reading mechanical assembly drawings
  • Handson for basic assemblies
  • RFID technology
  • PLC & HMI programming / diagnostics
  • Windows Server and Linux
  • SAP use
  • Motors, drives & inverters
  • NC & Robotics (ideally Kuka)
  • Siemens 840D & TIA portal
