IT Manager - Preston / 1 day a week / £60,000 - £63,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join my clients growing ICT Department based in Preston.
The IT Services Manager will manage the internal and external resources to support the IT infrastructure.
In this hands-on role the individual will be at the forefront of the company's migration to cloud computing, including the migration to Azure and adoptionand configuration of Microsoft services.

IT Manager role and responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the server estate, planning the upgrade, migration and/or decommissioning of services and servers where appropriate.
- Responsible for the security and integrity of the data and systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR, Cyber Essentials and ISO standards
- Drive their migration to cloud, working with internal and external resources to design, plan and facilitate the IT strategic aim of being cloud hosted.
- Management of the change pipeline
The successfully Information IT Manager will have:
- 2-5 years minimum experience in IT management
- Ability to lead projects and delivery within programmed timescales
- Supply chain management including thirdparty support companies
- Managing and monitoring yearly budgets
- Excellent allround communication skills
- Experience in maintaining standards including ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Security and AAF
- ITIL experience desirable
- Handson technical expertise of Microsoft stack, including Azure and cloud hosted services; understanding of modern IT infrastructure services
- Use and development of ITSM tools, such as ServiceNow.
- VMware / Hyper-V
- Project management delivering change to agreed budgets and timescales
