The school currently has 155 pupils.

Required from January 2023; A 1:1 Teaching Assistant is required to support pupils that need additional support in the classroom.

No formal qualifications are required.


The successful applicant will:
- be patient, nurturing and flexible in their approach to supporting young people to achieve their potential
- preferably have a good knowledge of supporting children with emotional/attachment needs/pastoral needs
- possess many strategies for engaging and motivating pupils
- have sound literacy and numeracy skills and to be an effective communicator
- have a knowledge of how to support children with English as an additional language
- have effective positive behaviour management strategies and a commitment to helping young people to be happy and successful within a fully inclusive learning environment
- be passionate about accessing continual professional development to help the young people they will be working with
- attend occasional additional meetings with the young person's parents
- liaise closely with the parents of the young person
- liaise effectively with professionals such as Headteacher, class teacher, pastoral care officer, SENCo, and other professionals.
- be a cooperative team member.
- be able to demonstrate initiative in their approach.
