Management Accountant

Location:
Preston (Hybrid)

Salary:
£45k DOE

Simpson Judge are working with a well-established supplier of specialist engineering, manufacturing and technical services based in Preston.

Responsibilities:

Build strong working relationships across all aspects of the business.
Business partnering across the business with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Cost Engineers.
Take responsibility for the timely completion of information for the Monthly Management Accounts
Aid to develop both the budgeting and forecasting processes for projects.
Support the project team to ensure projects are run according to group policy and financial standards.
Report on project variances against baseline and forecast.
Supporting a variety of financial projects designed to improve current processes and systems.
Support in areas such as annual, project, and internal audit process.
Continuously seek to develop and enhance existing project reporting practices across the Division.
Reporting profit centre accounts for consolidation to the core business.
Support the wider finance function, to aid in the delivery of accurate financial and management information.

Skills and Experience:

Ability to communicate effectively across levels within the business and finance and nonfinance stakeholders.
Demonstrate the ability to build relationships quickly and be of a robust nature.
Possess strong analytical skills.
Have intermediate levels of MS Excel.
Be selfmotivated and have the ability to work unsupervised.
Although based in Bamber Bridge, be willing to travel throughout the UK as part of the role.
Understand accounting for projects including accrued and deferred revenue and cost accruals Earned Value and IFRS15.
