As part of the Housekeeping team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust.

The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the housekeeping team and assist in covering in the Housekeeping, Laundry, the Deep clean team or other works as and when required.

Role Requirements

  • Site wide general housekeeping and laundry service ensure that the housekeeping and laundry services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.
  • Central Laundry Services/Staff and Parents Accommodation where resourcing requirements are required to assist in the provision of these services.
  • Training & Development in conjunction with the Housekeeping Lead through training and development and customer liaison maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Education & Qualifications

  • GCSE English (grade C or above) or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping Services (or willingness to work towards)

Experience

  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Experience of working in multitasking environment
  • Understanding of working within a caring environment
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping/cleaning or Laundry operative role (ideally from a NHS/Schools or equivalent background)


With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail.

You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

We also expect staff to have taken or be willing to take relevant immunisations required by the role to protect them against infectious diseases, (unless you are medically exempt).
