Summary

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has a caring and nurturing approach with children.
  • Is able to support children within the classroom delivering interventions.
  • Is able to work as part of a strong team.
  • Is able to use their initiative.
  • Is able to support the class teacher.
  • Is able to undertake activities and assist in monitoring the personal social and emotional needs of pupils.
  • Is able to develop positive relationships with pupils to assist pupil progress and attainment.
  • Is able to adapt learning to ensure it suits the needs of the pupils.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/NumeracyEssential Experience

Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant ageDesirable Experience

  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
  • Experience of Administrative work
