**Health & Safety Manager wanted for an immediate start


Location:
Northamptonshire

Length:
Temp to Perm

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon - Fri

  • Main responsibilities of the role_
  • Take the lead responsibility for Health & Safety management in the organisation including nearby sites
  • Lead on Policy Management ensuring that policies are reviewed as required and to escalate any areas of concern
  • Responsible for RIDDORs externally to the HSE
  • Lead the annual Health & Safety plan for the organisation
  • Act as the representative on health & safety issues including being main point of contact for enforcing authorities to consult and to organise any site inspections required by legislation for planned and unplanned inspections
  • Carry out periodic safety audits of activities/functions and provide analyses of Health & Safety records and reports in order to advise on the development and implementation of safe systems of work
  • Plan, design and deliver training sessions for staff relating to Health & Safety, legislative requirements, HSE guidance and any relevant standards. Ensure training complies with all statutory, mandatory guidance to meet requirements of legislation andgovernment policy initiatives.
  • Essential requirements_
  • NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Qualification in management or appropriate level of experience
  • Please note a DBS will be required for this role
