About the Business
An opportunity to be a
Finance Business Partner for an excellent service business near
Birmingham Airport. The business is part of a multi-£billion group which operates globally. The company are growing, have a large finance function to be a part of, and really look after their staff


Main Duties:

As a
Finance Business Partner, your main duties include:

  • Collaborate with Budget Holders for budget and forecast submissions, offering analytical review and support.
  • Provide financial input to strategic planning, assist the capital team with investment projects, and evaluate new contracts.
  • Ensure timely, accurate monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasts with detailed variance explanations.
  • Provide support to Budget Holders for monitoring income and revenue costs against budget, addressing concerns/opportunities.
  • Create clear commentary for monthly and quarterly management accounts distribution to the Board.
  • Maintain communication with the line manager and finance team on identified opportunities and risks.
  • Focus on enhancing profitability through analysis and challenging current practices/processes.
  • Update and maintain various key financial models.
  • Assist in the production of statutory accounts, ensuring timely auditor signoff within deadlines.
  • Generate information for auditors, banks, shareholders, and other external bodies.
  • Perform other duties commensurate with the post's grading as determined.

Location / Office / Culture

  • The role is hybrid, with three days in and 2 days office and the rest at home.
  • The business is based in Birmingham, within a finance team of around 20. The finance team is energetic and full of people either studying or having completed their studies. The company are flexible, large and have massive opportunity for growth.

What We Are Looking For

  • The personality to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to create budgets and forecasts and communicate information at all levels in a professional manner (written and verbally)
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Skilled user of Microsoft packages, encompassing Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel capabilities
