Description

The Role

You will be a key player in providing pioneering, customised and cost-effective design solutions, using your ability to overcome challenges in a calm and professional manner.

You will be responsible for ensuring savings are met directly and indirectly, enhancingproductivity wherever possible.


Main Responsibilities

  • To produce cost saving results whilst not comprising our client's high standards
  • To create customer samples to a high standard and produce regular design reports.
  • To create high quality artwork and operational layouts, 3D visuals and other design documents.
  • To meet with customers delivering presentations.
  • To work closely with customers ensuring objectives and costreductions are met.
  • To operate testing equipment and provide test reports.
  • To perform maintenance procedures, updating services and equipment.
  • To keep up to date with current trends, new materials, and products.

The Person
You will have experience in using CAD, Adobe CC and 3D, Excel, and PowerPoint

You will be able to demonstrate experience in working on cost reduction and value engineering projects within the Packaging industry; ideally corrugated.

Experience in graphic design would be beneficial.
You are an experienced packaging designer, corrugated preferred, but other sectors considered.
You will have knowledge of the packaging industry and understand their processes and methods

You are professional and have excellent communication and listening skills to be able to take and interpret customer design briefs.

You are personable, approachable and considerate of customers' requirements and challenges in creating tailored solutions.
You have a full valid driving licence.

An excellent knowledge of a large range of packaging products, other than corrugated, would be of benefit, but is not essential.

A knowledge of performance testing procedures would also be beneficial, but not essential.
