An engineering company who fabricate architectural and structural metalwork are looking for a Welder Fabricator within the Saffron Walden area to join their team


We are looking for an experienced welder fabricator preferably with experience within architectural metal work such as staircases, balustrades, balconies, handrails etc but if you are experienced in MIG Welding and have a keen interest in architectural work then please do not rule yourself out.

The starting salary is competitive and dependent on your skills and experience.

Overtime is paid at x1.33 during the week, x1.5 on a Saturday and x2.0 if any work is carried out on a Sunday.

The hours of work are 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.


Welder duties:

  • MIG and TIG welding
  • Fabricating staircases, balustrades and structural steel products
  • Using various hand tools
  • Using Guillotines, band saws, Brake Presses to fabricate

Skills and experience needed for this Welder role:

  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Ideally you will be working to a coded level or have own codes
  • Use own initiative and take pride in work
  • Must know how to use engineering machinery and power tools
  • Experience within structural steel welding
