The School's planned curriculum emphasises problem-based learning [PBL], early patient contact, programmatic assessment, an emphasis on community-orientated clinical placements and professional, emotionally intelligent communication at every stage.

The University of Worcester is seeking Associate Lecturers - PBL Facilitator to join its expanding Medical School


As a PBL Facilitator, you will provide small group facilitation for first year medical students, who will meet in small groups to explore and discuss authentic clinical case scenarios.

You will also need to undertake the necessary preparation for facilitating small group work and tutorials including PBL scenario refreshment and tutor notes, as well as assessing student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback.

PBL facilitators may also act as the students Personal Academic Tutors (PAT) providing student academic guidance, mentorship and pastoral support.

PBL Facilitators meet with groups of students on Monday afternoons and Friday mornings over 35 weeks.
