A manufacturing organisation that has been established in Leicester for nearly 130 years is seeking a Finance Officer to join their small team to assist with their UK and overseas accounts.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the fixed asset register and depreciation
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assistant with the preparation of UK accounts to TB
  • Full responsibility for the preparation of accounts to TB for USA accounts
  • Production of weekly payroll BACS and paperwork for approval and checking of timesheets
  • Reconciliation of holiday pots monthly
  • Reconciliation of petty cash and foreign currency advances
  • Processing credit cards employee expenses
  • RGR reconciliation and reporting
  • Processing of Ecommerce sales and receipts and reconciling back to the Ecommerce platform
  • Cover for purchase ledger and sales ledger during holidays and sickness
  • Assistance in the completion of national statistics information.

Skills and experience required:


  • AAT Level
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience of accounts up to trial balance required
  • Overseas accounting experience desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of using accounting software packages (Microsoft Navision desirable)
  • Strong excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs desirable)

Hours:


  • 37.5 hours per week. Offices open from 7am 6pm (flexible working)

Salary and benefits:


  • Up to £28,000
  • 20 days + 8 bank holidays
  • Hybrid working (2 days in the office / 3 days from home after training period)
  • Statutory pension
