Description

Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing insurance company based in Central London. We are actively recruiting a Finance Operations Controller on an initial 9 month contract.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller with x2 direct reports youwill be responsible for providing timely and accurate accounts for the UK Business Units across two Insurance Companies for all Motor lines of business.

The role supports the largest, fastest growing and most competitive lines of business within the UK Group.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Partnering with the business in implementation of business change, considering downstream impacts in financial processing, financial controls and timeliness of data for financial reporting
Provide and maintain an effective reporting over key bank account funds including the reconciliation of key balances and timely requests of further funding being required.
Ensure all financial records are maintained in an accurate and timely fashion for the UK Private Motor Products across various systems and partners.
Identify complex or unusual transactions and seek assistance from the wider finance management community if their treatment cannot be clearly understood.
Ensure all financial control policies and accounting manual procedures are maintained and adhered to.
Automate and streamline data and financial processing across the UK motor book
Accounting for and monitoring performance and key balances of UK nonfault income
Support with data provision for UK quarterly and annually external and regulatory reporting
Work with external auditors, providing information in accordance with requests and answering queries in a professional and efficient manner
Monitor and maintain balance sheet integrity through regular review, testing and aging
Maintain and report bad and doubtful debt performance across UK motor lines, including supporting the Credit Control team
