We're looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about reporting and serving clients.

You will specialise in providing product and firmwide data to clients and platforms as part of the Client Data Services team.

You'll be working within a hybrid team to support business development and client servicing efforts by responding to requests for data from clients, consultants and third parties.

The team

The global marketing function is responsible for all aspects of marketing to Institutional, Intermediary, Insurance and Financial Institution clients and Consumer audiences.

Marketing activities include Requests for Proposals ('RFPs'), Requests for Information ('RFIs'), due diligence questionnaires ('DDQ's); delivering events and campaigns; producing editorial content, presentations; digital marketing: media relations and advertising.


Positioned within Global Marketing, Client Data Services is responsible for sourcing and distributing data to clients, investment consultants, prospective clients and third parties for products and solutions across Schroders.

What you'll do

  • Client Reporting: Bespoke monthly/quarterly client reporting for intermediary and institutional clients, consultants and research platforms.
  • Fund Data: Working with outsourced providers to ensure timely updates of fund data to thirdparty databases and client platforms.
  • Consultant Databases: Working with outsourced providers to update and maintain product data across a number of global consultant databases.
  • Data Management: Responsible for the update, provision and quality control of quantitative data such as portfolio performance, holdings, characteristics, fees and assets under management.
  • Analytics: develop usage of analytics by Client Data Services, so that we have an informed understanding of how end clients are using and engaging with the data we supply through various means.
  • Data Efficiency: work with the head of the team to identify more efficient ways to source, curate and publish data through various means, so that we can improve quality control and speed of delivery. This will include helping our outsourced providers
  • Support the head of the team in monitoring the team inbox, coordinating allocation of requests from clients and consultants. Liaise with Client Group, Investment Product desks and other colleagues as required to achieve this.
  • Support Client Data Services team colleagues in responding to new requests where required, including materials that supports the gaining of new business. Proactively provide support to other team members, particularly during the busiest periods.
  • Drive efficiency in providing data to clients in the best possible time, utilising new and strategic data sources and technology where possible.
  • Record and file all materials in accordance with FCA requirements and the process manual.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Data reporting and/or client reporting experience.
  • Understanding of products across asset classes (e.g. equity, fixed income, multiasset, private assets and alternatives).
  • Advanced skills in using Excel (VLOOKUPS, INDEX and MATCH, Pivot tables, etc.).
  • Experience of working virtually with team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Strong team player, with the ability to use own initiative and a selfstarter.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with global stakeholders and senior management.
  • Good time and project management skills, able to manage multiple and at times conflicting deadlines.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • PowerBI / Tableau for data reporting and visualisation.
  • Coordinating with outsourced providers virtually.
  • IMC (or equivalent).
  • Strong numeracy and literacy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience using data reporting (e.g. Aladdin Explore, StatPro) and RFP systems (e.g. Qvidian).
  • Experience in using eVestment Analytics.
  • Experience in using data query tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx
