Westwood Recruitment are currently looking for 8x Pipefitters for a weeks work starting 17th May (Potential Extension)

Role and Responsibilities:
Ascertain job requirements from drawings or other specifications.

Select length of stainless steel, steel alloy, iron, copper, aluminium piping and to cut it to the required size with hacksaw, pipe cutter or machine.

Prepare and position pipework and flanges for subsequent welding, alignment orientation, gaps, spacing, straightness whilst welding and arc welding.
Bend piping by machine or heat with blow lamp and bend by hand.
Join metal piping by soldering or thread cutting and screwing.
Join plastic piping by cementing or fusing by hot air welding.
Form piping from sheet metal.
Check pipe preparations, tack welded joints, alignment, straightness and dimensional accuracy.
Install prefabricated sections on site.
Trained and operate trade required machinery.
Trained and operate overhead cranes including basic slinging in a safe manner.
Carryout Firewatch/Stand By duties.
Adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment.
Use Oxy/fuel hand burning/heating/cutting equipment.
Use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements including all relevant training/certification requirements

CIS rate - £19.11PH

Qualifications:

Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3 and CCNSG.

Minimum 2 years site
