Description

General Ledger Clerk required to join a small but growing and ambitious charity based in Dorset that is looking to double their turnover in the next 5 years. You will be responsible for providing support to the Finance Manager ensuring a high standard of processing and accurate reporting of the day-to-day management of the General Ledger. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant financial records and work as part of a wider Finance team. Other duties will include checking cost codes, posting entries, monthly bank reconciliations, supporting monthly and annual close including reconciliations of control accounts with Sales and Purchase Ledger. You will also support the project to replace the finance system and review and implement new processes.

**Qualifications and experience:
- *
  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) or proven experience with wide ranging skills
  • Experience of Charity accounts would be desirable
  • Experience of being involved in changing systems and procedures
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at a variety of levels
  • Good communicator (written and oral)
  • Analytical and methodical, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Flexible and proactive approach
