Main Duties:
Assembly of complex equipment involving electrically driven mechanical movements, pneumatic actuators and electronic control sub-systems.


Key Skills:

• Require Competence in precision assembly work using Engineering drawings, process specifications, sketches and verbal instructions.
• The work involves the use of hand and power tools, setting and shimming, manual machining operations and the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all assembled parts meet required standards
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Essential Qualifications:

• Formal training in mechanical skills (instrument making) within an apprenticeship coupled with a qualification to at least NVQ level 2 or City & Guilds.
• Applicants should have previously worked in a similar environment, be able to operate as part of a team but be able to work with mínimal supervision.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

Equipment familiarisation and process specific training will be given.

Additional Information:

• Salary: £24,000 £30,000 dependent on experience
• Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm.
• Permanent Position
• 20 Holidays per year + Bank holidays
