We are working with an agency who are recruiting for a Pastoral Team Lead to join one of their schools in Redditch.


Ideally, you will be able to start ASAP on a Temp to Perm basis.

Role:


You will play a key part in the Leadership team, taking a lead role in providing high quality and effective safeguarding and pastoral care across the school.

You will work predominantly in the dedicated pastoral space, with movement around the school when required.


Key Duties:


  • Meet with pupils when necessary to discuss pastoral concerns
  • Agree and implement action plans for groups/individuals specific to the needs
  • Deliver interventions where necessary; attendance
  • Develop pupils skills for learning and behaviour
  • Use the pupils breaktime and lunchtime to offer breakout sessions
  • Provide Pastoral Support for other members of the school
  • Liaise with other staff members, parents and third parties in regards to the pupils
  • Stay up to date with school and government policies
  • Safeguard all pupils and staff

Who we are looking for:


  • Level 4 or Higher in Relevant Qualification
  • Experience as a Pastoral Team member/Leader (or similar)
  • Family Service, Youth Worker, Support Worker (advantage)
  • Ability to evaluate and assess the need for intervention
  • Excellent listening skills and communicate effectively (orally or written)
  • Sound working knowledge of safeguarding
  • Work well with third parties and recognise when is beneficial to use them

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 12 weeks


Salary:
£70.00-£90.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Redditch, Worcestershire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • HLTA/Pastoral: 1 year (required)
