We've got students in Birmingham who need you to make a difference in their lives now If you're a patient and engaging teacher or tutor, experienced in maths, english or science at GCSE level and who would love the opportunity to work with students in their own homes or schools, delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis, then we'd love to work with you

Learners referred to us may demonstrate complex learning requirements so distinct experience in the following will be advantageous:

  • ASD/ASC
  • SEMH
  • Dyslexia/Dyspraxia
  • Trauma

The role

Key responsibilities

  • Creating lesson plans and delivering tuition programmes that are designed to engage, inspire and teach.
  • Reporting on attendance, attainment and engagement for all tutoring sessions.
  • Liaising with the school, local authority, ourselves or other key stakeholders to inform and support the students.
  • Completing training as required and committing to safeguarding principles.

Requirement

  • Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring experience preferred.
  • Professional teaching qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Experience or desire to work with students with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs (not essential).
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • You must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
