Description
In this role, you are accountable for: Contributes to the delivery and maintenance of the purchase ledger function. Ensures that services are delivered in a timely manner, KPIs are achieved within the relevant timescales and SLAs are adhered to. Routinely appraises work processes and procedures and contributes to the development and refinement of said processes. Responsible for planning own work to achieve team objectives and ensure delivery of excellent customer service.
Contribute to the Accounts Payable & Ordering Function, ensuring; Payment schedules are adhered to by supporting daily file uploads and performing BACS processes.
Ensure that purchase orders are created adhering to the Standing Financial Instructions and current Government frameworks. Uses specialised knowledge to ensure the Authority utilises appropriate processes, procedures, SFIs and policies to resolve complex queries. Investigate and resolve complex enquiries providing assistance and help as required.
Discuss sensitive and confidential information with customers and colleagues which may be contentious using specialist knowledge and expertise to understand and resolve any issues.
Input various manual payments into the purchase ledger ensuring they are correctly allocated to the correct bank accounts before the end of the current month.
Assist the Financial Accounts banking team with any queries relating to these payments Assist with developing, implementing and operating the Authoritys lease car scheme administration ensuring; Vehicles are appropriately delivered and collected Vehicles are appropriately insured and taxed Relevant documents such as penalty and MOT notifications are transferred to the driver and fines are recovered to the business Contribute to negotiations relating to the stationery contracts, making suggestions for cost saving and product selections.
Raise ad hoc orders for goods & services as requested by Senior Management Responsible for achieving ones own objectives and be aware of their development requirements to meet these objectives, seeking opportunities to achieve these.
