Sporting Your Futures is an award winning not-for-profit organisation which aims to create positive change in the community through sport and social activities by being inclusive of all backgrounds in the community. We use sport as a tool to engage inactive communities and facilitate positive change to improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing.

We are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced Sports Project Officer to create, manage and deliver dynamic and innovative community sports projects aimed at increasing activity levels in sport and physical activity in a variety of settings which include: schools, community sport and football projects and school holiday sports sessions.

Description of main responsibilities:


  • Create, deliver and analyse highquality Multi-Sports/Football activities for children across a range of ages and abilities, ensuring all coaching activities are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Lead the growth and development of core programmes in the designated geographical areas.
  • Lead and deliver highquality school sport and extracurricular coaching sessions, ensuring all activities are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Support coaches to set session delivery plans and ensure that individual requirements are met in terms of planning and assessment.
  • Responsibility for meeting performance targets, setting and meeting budget income and expenditure on assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners and schools contributing to the growth of our programmes.
  • Possess the ability to report on impact and outcomes of projects where applicable.
  • Experience of managing, mentoring and supporting parttime coaches and volunteers in a coaching or education capacity.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends where required.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Safeguarding by adhering to relevant policies, procedures and values relating to safeguarding children and adults at risk.

  • Enthusiasm, energy and willingness to meet challenging demands and work to deadlines.
  • Selfmotivated, able to use initiative and a highly flexible approach to work.
  • Selfdisciplined, with excellent attention to detail.
  • A strong team player with good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with organisations, school, partners and stakeholders.

Essential qualifications:


  • Valid driving licence and own transport.
  • Minimum NGB Level 2 in Multi-Sports, Football or other sports (Applicants with no Multi-Sports/Football qualifications to be considered depending on their experience).

Applicants must be willing to undergo several safeguarding checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, reference checks with employers/education and where applicable, Barred List and Prohibition checks.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£9.00-£15.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence and own transport (preferred)
  • NGB Level 2 Sports or Football Coaching Qualification (preferred)
