  • The departmentResponsible Business sits within our Human Resources team and our Responsible Business Executive Committee is made up of a Responsible Business & Sustainability Manager, and some senior representation of our csuite and partners.


Due to the increased workload on Responsible Business activities, we are looking for a Responsible Business Executive to join the team on a six month fixed term basis, to execute the delivery of our Responsible Business activities.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about Responsible Business and wants to enhance further their skills and knowledge particularly in the areas of social mobility, employer supported volunteering and charity & fundraising.

The role will also include some administrative tasks within the area of environment and sustainability.

  • Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of employer supported volunteering including working with external community partners to source volunteering opportunities, understanding community needs on volunteering, liaising with colleagues across the business to understand skills to ensure skillsbased volunteering is prioritised and delivering volunteering activities.
  • Take ownership of charity and fundraising, working closely with our internal Charity and Fundraising group e.g. supporting plans for our annual fundraiser and managing the relationship with our firmwide charity partner The Sutton Trust.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and with community partners such as schools and external community organisations and charities.
  • Organise and deliver Responsible Business events e.g. events with our charity partner and schools, internal workshops, Responsible Business Week and volunteering opportunities.
  • Draft firmwide communications in order to engage internal stakeholders with Responsible Business and Sustainability, including maintaining our intranet pages and writing case studies.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as making and monitoring impactmeasurement surveys, administering DBS checks, taking minutes, diary management and updating information on MS Excel.
  • Contribute to gathering data such as sustainability related data and tracking participation to our internal events.
  • Triage Responsible Business queries from internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Two to three years' work or volunteering experience.
  • Degree qualification is desirable but not essential.

Desired skills

  • Demonstrable interest in and some knowledge of Responsible Business issues including social mobility, charity and fundraising and employer support volunteering (ESV).
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to act on own initiative.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to take on a wide variety of responsibilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.
