About the role of a Marketing Manager:
As a Marketing Manager, you will report to the Group Managing Director and will be responsible for all the marketing activities and the principal architect of the strategy underpinning it.
As a Marketing Manager you will be passionate and hands on individualdirectly responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies that both support and increase the growth of the company.
Duties of the Marketing Manager:
- To establish positioning, identify target audiences plan, develop and implement marketing strategies for the group with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
- To produce marketing material (i.e., imagery, videos, etc.) to be used on the company's social media channels and as a support to the sales team.
- To produce, maintain and monitor the marketing budget for the group.
- To undertake all marketing activities for the group, ensuring on time, on budget performance.
- To conduct useful and relevant market research to develop commercial & marketing strategy for the group.
- To lead customer engagement with NPI projects.
- To work with the executive team, such as the group managing director, to develop and deliver the business's marketing strategy.
- To research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
- To approve and oversee the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketingrelated projects.
- To work within the department budget to develop costeffective marketing plans for each product or service.
- To look after the budget of the marketing department and making sure the budget spend is delivering a return on investment.
- To organise and oversee the company's attendance at events, such as trade shows, conferences, and festivals.
- To analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
- To create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and gotomarket strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
- To gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads.
- To measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge in the Adobe suite or similar (indesign, illustrator, photoshop, and premier pro)
- Strong marketing, commercial and financial awareness
- Good knowledge and experience of marketing for manufactured product both B2B and B2C
- Strong experience in marketing strategies development and implementation
- Strong client liaising skills
- Good public speaking skills
- High attention to details
- High understanding of manufacturing businesses with a focus on premium products
- Superb with deadlines and working under pressure
- Advanced problemsolving capabilities
- Strong project management, multitasking, and decisionmaking skills
- Selfmotivation and proactivity
- Metricsdriven marketing mind with eye for creativity
- Experience leading marketing for SME manufacturers in the marine industries would be a bonus for the role.
- Clear strategic understanding of the marine sector and the marketing strategy and tools to affect the purchasing decisions of all types of customers would be a bonus for the role.
- Marketing degree or similar/relevant qualification
