Job overview:
Reporting to the School Director, the Facilities and IT Manager / Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 full time maintenance staff and 1 full time Coordinator.
CORE SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Highly motivated, proactive and positive, with an outgoing & confident personality
- A strong negotiator with the ability to manage a budget and work within its parameters
- Confident with general maintenance and IT issues with a very handson approach
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
- Strong knowledge of both hard and soft services
- Customer service focused with excellent communication & people skills and the ability to communicate IT issues in an accessible way to colleagues and students
- Enjoy working in busy & varied environment
- Organized with attention to details
- Ability to work independently with strong decisionmaking skills essential
- Creative & energetic with lots of common sense
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease & remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Have the right to live and work in the country of employment
- Environmental Management
- Full UK driving license preferred
- Confident & familiar with all aspects of H&S provision
- Detailed knowledge of risk assessment and management
