Job overview:


Reporting to the School Director, the Facilities and IT Manager / Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 full time maintenance staff and 1 full time Coordinator.

They will have responsibility for a campus consisting of 10 buildings and 3 acres of grounds.


CORE SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:


  • Highly motivated, proactive and positive, with an outgoing & confident personality
  • A strong negotiator with the ability to manage a budget and work within its parameters
  • Confident with general maintenance and IT issues with a very handson approach
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
  • Strong knowledge of both hard and soft services
  • Customer service focused with excellent communication & people skills and the ability to communicate IT issues in an accessible way to colleagues and students
  • Enjoy working in busy & varied environment
  • Organized with attention to details
  • Ability to work independently with strong decisionmaking skills essential
  • Creative & energetic with lots of common sense
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease & remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication & people skills
  • Have the right to live and work in the country of employment
  • Environmental Management
  • Full UK driving license preferred
  • Confident & familiar with all aspects of H&S provision
  • Detailed knowledge of risk assessment and management
