If so, we are looking to recruit a new exciting role of Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser.
The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser, will play a key supportive role at Lifeworks, contributing directly to the Charity's income target as well as supporting managers across the organisation to access compelling information in support of their procurement work.
The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will prioritise working on bid writing to grant making trusts and foundations, donor prospecting, building a new donor pipeline, and managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders through stewardship.
Working in partnership with the Digital Marketing & Fundraising Officer, you will:- Develop an annual fundraising and income generation strategy.
- Take responsibility for the fundraising and communication activity across the Charity.
- Provide a professional service with timely advice, guidance and support to management across the Charity.
- Develop and deliver a diversified and growing fundraised income base that will help support Lifeworks to achieve its mission of extending its reach in supporting people with learning disabilities to have great lives.
- Expand brand awareness by creating memorable impressions of our services helping Lifeworks to become a market leader and provider of choice, in the South West.
Based in South Devon, Lifeworks provide high quality short breaks and residential care, community-based programmes and specialist further education to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities.

- To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, a supportive and collaborative approach and a genuine passion for your work.
- You will have a keen interest in learning disabilities and ending social exclusion.
- You will be talented at, and enjoy the process of, compiling narrative and financial information and have the drive and commitment to deliver against deadlines.
- You will also be well organised, flexible, selfmotivated and able to work autonomously and to thrive within a supportive culture which is solutionorientated and has integrity, courage and excellence at its heart.
- You will need to have previous experience of securing funding and new business from trusts, foundations, government donors or corporate donors for international development programmes, along with experience of building funding pipelines through researching prospects, cultivation, networking, and positioning.
- You will be an effective communicator, with experience of managing relationships with donors/clients/customers and have experience of working in a charity/fundraising environment.
- We would expect you to be educated to degree level or equivalent (NVQ L5) with a relevant specialism (i.e. fundraising, communications, marketing).
