About the Role Our Kemsley Mill site is recruiting an
Application Specialist (IT - Specialist)to combine some in-depth hands-on technical expertise with strong customer engagement responsibilities.

The role will encompass the day-to-day support of users alongside IT project implementation.

The Application Specialist will work as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business clientsto clarify and translate business requirements into solutions that support DS Smith's objectives.

The position combines some in-depth hands-on technical expertise with strong customer engagement responsibilities. The role encompasses day to day support of users alongside IT project implementation.

The holder of the position will be a hands-on technical expert and intermediary between the business stakeholders and technical community across Paper & Recycling, to clarify, and translate business requirements into solutions that support DS Smith's objectives.

You will work with the Kemsley IT Manager and IT North Cluster Business Partner to ensure that the business IT Applications and Systems are supported to the required and agreed DS Smith standards.

About You:

Degree/qualification from recognized academic establishment or equivalent work experience.
Cisco related qualifications
desirable.
SQL database administration & SSRS.
desirable

This role will be site-based Monday to Friday and will require to be on an out of hours rota.
