DB's sustainable procurement strategy is a vital part of our programme to reduce vendor risk. For procurement departments, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) ratings and scores will become an additional factor in sourcing decisions.
As part of DB's commitment to Supply Chain sustainability and our clear vision and ambitions, the three ESG pillars need to be further strengthened and resourced.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Sustainability, you will be a key member of the Procurement Capability team which plays a major role in collaborating, supporting, advising, and embedding changes within the procurement process to ensure results in our mission to be leaders in ESG thinking and results.

Your key responsibilities
- Defining, shaping and delivering the Environment pillar strategy within Deutsche Bank to support Global Procurement's vision, priorities and corporate sustainability strategy
- Managing and maintaining Supply Chain Sustainability processes, workflows and systems, especially for the ESG score collection, vendor evaluation and vendor risk management processes with emphasis and focus on environmental issues
- Creating the conditions to enable the Bank to become a business leader in supply chain sustainability and achieve 'best in class' ESG ratings
- Supporting the Head of Sustainability to manage the overall direction of Global Procurement's sustainability efforts, including setting goals and measuring progress
- Assessing the environmental issues and challenges facing the Bank with a view to developing the Vision and Mission and future roadmap
Your skills and experience
- Subject Matter Expert in Environmental Sustainability within the Supply Chain
- Procurement experience in multiple disciplines across Supplier Management, Sourcing & Contract Management with a thorough knowledge of procurement processes (sourcetopay)
- Excellent understanding of ESG standards and experience in working with vendor scorecards.
- A good understanding of ESG future challenges, especially within Environment sustainability and how to deliver tangible results.
- Strong experience in a management role
