  • You are a reliable and committed professional, keen on working within the city solicitor's office. You have an understanding of legal casework, are capable of drafting legal documentation and can assist in providing support related to procurement and delivery of services. Your experience includes the preparation of court bundles, tribunal papers, and similar documentation. You attribute value in maintaining legal files diligently, understanding the importance of compliance and adhering to timescales. You are proficient with case management systems and are keen on ensuring customer satisfaction. You are open to training and personal development to ensure effective service delivery. What the Job Involves

  • Working at the City Solicitor's Office as a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for executing a range of legal casework to facilitate the smooth operation of the unit. Your duties will span across preparing court bundles, tribunal and independent panel papers, education appeals, reports, and similar documentation. You may be entrusted to attend court to support the solicitor/barrister in specific cases, and well as assist in the organisation and attendance at education appeals, tribunals, committees and public inquiries. Maintenance of legal files and assisting in the administration of the case management system will form a crucial part of your role. You will be expected to uphold customer service standards, keeping with the targets of performance and quality assurance policies. You are also welcome to contribute to other duties, attending training as directed and fostering a positive attendance culture. Your utmost commitment is expected towards upholding Council policies and ensuring a work environment free from harassment. The role requires to maintain confidentiality, respecting the provisions of data protection and freedom of information legislations. Lastly, this role is accountable towards ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, standing orders and financial regulations of the City Council.
