Description

The European Customs Specialist is responsible for bookings and customs arrangements as well as customs declarations and collecting essential documentation as needed.

You will liaise with customers, partners and other divisions in order to ensure a speedydelivery of cargo. You can be based in Leyton, Ipswich or Heathrow - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Description
As the European Customs Specialist, you will be tasked with:

  • Taking bookings and assisting with transport and/or customs arrangements
  • Producing and/or collecting essential shipping documentation required
  • Submitting customs declarations and ensuring compliance with customs regulations
  • Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers to arrange quick dispatch of cargo
  • Updating and maintaining accurate information on freight software
  • Maintaining Data Quality
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers and overseas partners
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Undertaking various other administrative duties
You can be based in Leyton, Ipswich or Heathrow - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home


Profile

The European Customs Specialist must have:

  • Previously have worked in the shipping / logistics sector
  • Have done customs clearances
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Additional European language (particularly French, German, Polish or Spanish) is beneficial
You can be based in Leyton, Ipswich or Heathrow - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home
