The role is a part time position to be shared with an existing Clinical Lead to co-manage the team, responsible for the day to day operational delivery of the service.

Working across Camden community. To provide clinical leadership and management to Podiatrists ensuring monitoring of individual staff performance, appraisal and development is robust.
To act as a role model in expert practice facilitating and supporting the delivery of effective patient care

To be a source of high level clinical expertise across the field of Podiatry by providing advice for all community Individuals on the full range of relevant issues including aspects of risk assessment and management.

To provide education and training to staff, external agencies and GP's
To develop procedures, policies and guidelines and implementing improvements where they are required.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users.

As Clinical Lead for Podiatry Services, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring and provision of Podiatry Clinical Services across Camden.

To provide clinical leadership for the Podiatry service ensuring optimum quality and standards across multiple sites.

You will support service quality improvement initiatives ensuring patient care is optimised. You will contribute to podiatric and Trust wide policies, strategies, guidelines, standards and protocols for Podiatry Services.

Clinical Responsibilities
To provide clinical leadership for the Podiatry service ensuring optimum quality and standards across multiple sites.
To act as the clinical expert for multidisciplinary professionals including GP's, providing structured educational programs and Podiatry advice.
To be the clinical resource when developing and extending the service in line with any commissioning requests.
To manage a small clinical caseload of complex patients, implementing and evaluating care programmes with patients and their families.
To ensure that the care provided is evidence based.
To ensure that users and carers are consulted about and involved in all aspects of service development and planning.
To liaise with other organisations both voluntary and statutory to enable provision of holistic care.
To ensure that clinical audit takes place in line with local and national developments.
Independent prescriber

To provide direct line management support for staff working within the Podiatry Service.

To actively promote the service across the wider system.

To look for service development opportunities
