About the role:
We are seeking an experienced nurse to join us on a fixed term basis to provide high quality support to the Paediatric Intensive Care Audit Network (PICANet).
PICANet is an international audit of paediatric intensive care activity which collects data on all children referred, retrieved and admitted to paediatric intensive care units in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
PICANet is the definitive source of data on paediatric intensive care activity in the UK and Ireland.
PICANet data has been used to plan PIC services, model demand, assess interventions and outcomes and provide data to underpin research to facilitate the development of new standards for critical care provision for children.
This post has been created to support the expansion of PICANet in England to encompass all critical care provision for children.
This post is based within the TIMMS group (The Infant Morbidity and Mortality Studies) in the Department of Health Sciences.
About you:
To be successful in this post you must hold a Postgraduate qualification or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, together with a first degree in science, social sciences or nursing with relevant skills/knowledge.
You will be liaising with a wide range of collaborators and researchers so excellent communication skills are a must, and you will be confident with working within a team but also independently.
