Description

Lead in the production of the departmental consultant rota, highlighting and actioning any potential shortfalls ensuring appropriate allocation of consultant cover to meet the needs of the service users.

Manage rotas, identifying how workforce can be effectively utilised across multiple locations, and ensuring that any rota changes maintain appropriate levels of cover and maintain the most efficient use of resources available.

Identify and mitigate any risks to service and escalating any concerns to the Support Services Manager and Chief of Imaging.

Responsibility for creating and maintaining the rota Standard Operating Procedure document (SOP) to include instructions detailing all aspects of how the Consultant rotas are created, maintained, and distributed, and departmental rules relating to leave booking for consultant staff.

Accountable for ensuring this is accurate and up to date and shared with appropriate members of staff.

Responsible for the timely distribution of Radiology rota to relevant areas and services users and accountable for ensuring the rota distribution list is maintained and updated as necessary.

Accountable for rota changes, requests and negotiating absence cover, and ensuring that these are actioned within KPIs and ensuring all clinical commitments are covered.
