Recovery Navigators - Safe Haven based in Weston Super - Mare
Hours: 25 per week
Shifts:
pm Midnight.
Salary:
£21,940 to £23,983 Pro Rata.
Location:
North Somerset
- This role will particularly suit applicants who are looking for flexibility, enjoy variety and are happy to work varying shift patterns.
- We are particularly looking for people who are keen to take on short and longterm blocks of work.
- The Safe Haven centre is a Mental Health Crisis service. We Support individuals with Mental Health difficulties to find solutions and techniques to bring them back to baseline.
Some of the
techniques we use are
- Active Listening
- Sign
- Selfsoothing techniques
- Groups (such as anxiety management and meditation)
- Sleep Hygiene
- Referrals to other agencies where appropriate
The aim of the service is to provide short term crisis support, to empower the client working in a recovery orientated way. Second Step believes in the power of promoting independence and holding hope for the client at a time when the client is unable to do this for themselves.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working in a Mental Health Support role and be keen to widen your experience, working with service users with a range of support needs including Mental Health, Homelessness, and Drug and Alcohol Misuse.
- You will also champion our recovery and psychologically informed approach as the best way to support people to move forward in their lives, wherever they are.
