SQL Database Developer - Newcastle/Hybrid - £55,000 per annum DoE

I am currently working with an internationally recognised organisation who are looking for a SQL Database Developer to join their growing IT team.

The team are currently working on a number of exciting projects and you will be able to take ownership of the entire estate of SQL Server databases to support the rest of the team on these projects.

This global organisation has offices in the UK, mainland Europe, Asia and America and you will have the opportunity to impact the ongoing success of the business in each of these locations.

They are currently investing in the technology that they are using, providing each department within the business with specific insights to help them grow as well as have plans to migrate the databases to Azure in the future.

You will play a major part in that journey so this is a really exciting time to join the team.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

Take ownership of the organisations SQL Server estate
Undertake BAU Database Administration tasks alongside development of SQL Server databases.
Providing feedback to the business on current projects
Engaging with stakeholders both internally and externally and ensuring they are up to date on projects.
Explain technical requirements to nontechnical stakeholders.

This is a salaried role paying up to £55,000 per year depending on experience.

This is a hybrid opportunity working in the organisations office in Newcastle where you will work alongside like minded professionals.

To be successful in this role you will have.

Strong commercial experience with SQL Server
Experience developing and administrating SQL databases.
Strong T-SQL skills
Experience working with Python and Power BI would be beneficial.
