Description
We are currently looking for two Trainee Composite Trimmers to join our Trainee Trim Shop.
Based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, Brick Kiln Composites is a leading manufacturer of composite components for various Formula One teams, high-end automotive designers and innovative industry disrupters.
- Gain an understanding and develop the ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.

- Possess exceptional handeye coordination, and a keen eye for detail.
- Be computer literate and able to utilise production management platforms to log work progression and Billing of Materials (BoM) usage.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting to the Training Supervisor who will train and develop your understanding of the Trimming process. You will be required to become competent at all stages, from making parts hand safe, to the use of glues and bonding processes. You will eventually become competent in the completion of complex part assemblies before you can progress into the Main Trim Shop Department.
- From timetotime you may be asked to aid in other areas of the business such as in our Research and Development cells, or in the Breakout and Inspection departments during peak build seasons. This will develop you into a multiskilled individual adept at working across multiple departments of a composites business.
- Throughout, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards as laid out in the laminating policies and procedures, as well as aiding in the company's maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. To this end you will utilise production management software to jobon and joboff your work, as well as maintaining any records required by our customers.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably asked or expected by your immediate supervisor.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the use of airtools and hand tools (Highly Desirable)
- Prior experience in a motorsport or automotive environment (Desirable)
