Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-product Menswear Designer specialising in casual product such as outerwear and bottoms, working with mainly UK based retailers, physical and ecommerce.

You must be able to bring fresh ideas to the team.

You will be working closely with the Business Development and Account Managers and the rest of the team in all aspects of the design process, and will be involved with the sales, development and sourcing.

You must have at least 3 years' experience working for a brand or supplier.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design seasonal and trend led collections across a variety of product categories, in line with customer requirements.
• Carrying out market research to identify emerging trends and recognize potential gaps in each customer's product range.
• Preparing and leading product development meetings with customers along with the Business Development Managers by presenting trend boards and garment concepts with a focus on sustainability.
• Building strong working relationships with customers, keeping in constant interaction with the buying and design teams to develop samples according to design briefs.
• Understand garment construction.
• Take ownership for samples in development and once confirmed convey relevant information to the production team, monitoring the critical path from design to production.
• Liaising daily with mills, factories, customers and inhouse teams, to establish close relationships on all sides.

Part-time hours: 28 per week


Salary:
£35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
