Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Procurement of materials and Plant to service project requirements, demonstrating value for money through competitive tendering and pricing analysis to minimise risk and maximise commercial opportunity
  • Identifying suppliers and subcontractors, obtaining quotations and agreeing delivery timescales
  • Liaising effectively with with the site management team and suppliers & subcontractors to manage the flow of labour & materials appropriately
  • Liaising closely with the estimator at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided
  • Approval of Purchase Invoices for payment
  • Previous buying in a similar role gained within the construction sector is essential
  • Procurement qualification desirable but not essential
  • Excellent stakeholder skills at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of market rates

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
