Description

To provide comprehensive administration and secretarial role supporting an individual who is a trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapist under the access to work scheme.

This scheme enables people with disabilities to be supported to work.

The role will include ensuring the safety of the individual in moving around the building as well as the administrative support to enable the individual to complete their clinical work in a busy pressured role.

Undertaking word processing/audio, G2.


Using RIO (electronic system) to record and retrieve information on service users and recording and reading verbatim information to individual to ensure they have the correct history/details.

Implement and maintain effective working relationship with the individual and the MDT.


Ensuring environment is safe and appropriate - chairs and computers in the correct place, supporting individual to move from meeting to meeting, WC and kitchen, attending home visits and meetings external to the team base.

To support individual in ensuring appearance is appropriate and the general wellbeing of the individual during the working hours.

Undertake administrative duties - photocopying, sending facsimiles, answering calls, typing, printing information and preparing documents for patients.

Provide assistance to individual in trouble shooting computer issues.

Note taking in meetings and therapy sessions.

Messages left overnight on answer phone are distributed appropriately.

Incoming calls via telephone/personally delivered are prioritised and distributed accordingly.

Incoming post is sorted/distributed in a timely matter.

Keep movement chart on all staff updated throughout the day.

Effectively provide administration, health and safety and personal assistant tasks for a member of staff who requires additional support under the access to work scheme


Key Tasks required are:
Undertaking word processing/audio, G2 support for the provision of required reports, letters, summaries, etc. within set standards and making necessary changes. Have a good standard of grammar and spelling and be supportive in reading aloud documents and making changes.

  • Using RIO (electronic system) to record and retrieve information on service users and recording and reading verbatim information to individual to ensure they have the correct history/details.
  • Implement and maintain effective working relationship with the individual and the MDT.
  • Implementing and maintain effective communication systems with individual to ensure information is conveyed in a timely manner, prioritising when needed.
  • Ensuring environment is safe and appropriate chairs and computers in the correct place, supporting individual to move from meeting to meeting, WC and kitchen, attending home visits and meetings external to the team base.
  • To support individual in ensuring appearance is appropriate and the general wellbeing of the individual during the working hours,
  • Undertake administrative duties photocopying, sending facsimiles, answering calls, typing, printing information and preparing documents for patients.
  • Provide assistance to individual in trouble shooting computer issues.
  • Providing cover for other admin staff during periods of leave, sickness or to alleviate workload of colleagues as necessary including the undertaking of reception cover and when required ensuring:
