Duties:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring all records are accurately maintained on a digital basis
- Process all payroll items through the Sage Payroll line 50 Software, for the Fortnightly paid staff, payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees, Pension and HMRC returns
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Assist with credit analysis and financial services as needed
- Support the accounting team in various tasks such as preparing financial reports and statements
- Work along side Purchase ledger to support processing of accounts payable and ensure timely payment to vendors
To maintain all digital records ensuring their accuracy, consistency
To maintain all charitable items including Gift Aid filing with HMRC
To complete all bank reconciliations through the Pegasus Opera software, ensuring that all bank accounts are fully up-dated and reconciled
To analyse, record and maintain the Weekly Income Report along with the Head of Finance
To assist in the development of all Annual Budgeting items
To maintain all manual journals, to post to the Pegasus Opera Software within the month end schedule
To maintain the Restricted Income bank accounts. To work along side all departments to determine levels of activity. With the use of our internal Excel spreadsheets, maintain, monitor and record all receipts, spends and complete all relevant transfer documentation
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Knowledge of tax regulations and financial services
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but training will be given for all unique customised processes that we have developed as an organisation
