The Role
Duties and responsibilities of the CNC Machinist will include but not be limited to:
Supervision, training and mentoring of Technicians and Apprentices.
Supporting Manufacturing Engineers on delivery of technical projects by providing the best service through high quality component manufacture.
Programming, Setting and Operation of CNC machine tools
Support with technical input to Manufacturing Engineers to determine the most appropriate method of manufacture.
Process adherence to ensure full compliance


The Person
Seen as the go to person for Health and Safety in area of expertise, engages with H&S team regularly. Has relevant training in their area of expertise, with an ability to advise others.

Can complete and keep the relevant safety documentation up to date fortheir area with an ability to sign off others safety documents.

Enforces safe working practises. Can identify and challenge safety issues.
Can work competently on medium and high-risk projects, alone or as part of a team. Manages their workload with little to no support.
Develops training/learning experiences/schemes, and brings a wider knowledge to an individual's experience/ training needs. Provides technical oversight of training plans and training.
Can identify opportunities for improvement of processes and implement changes. Challenges non-compliance
Leads activities even when not asked. Can technically lead discussions in meetings. Communicates at all levels. Maintains and develops 5S standard within the workshop, challenging those who do not.
