The role
The tax administrator will take ownership of the administrative work of the department and support the outsourced Tax process.

Ensuring all correspondence is dealt with in a timely manner, client records are kept up to date and tasks for the contractorsare completed, and on time.


Day to day duties:


  • Expenses & Forms processing
  • Engagement letters
  • HMRC paper and online forms
  • Scanning documents and post into the filing system and sending to the tax team client maintenance and data entry.
  • Oversight of client authorisations with HMRC, and associated entry onto databases.
  • Chasing clients for information.
  • Oversee Tax Inbox
  • Data entry on Excel, maintaining and updating schedules.
  • Chaser telephone calls to HMRC
  • Completion of both complex personal tax returns
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and deferred tax computations
  • Provide tax planning advice to Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and HNWI's
  • Liaising with HMRC and assisting with complex investigations and challenges
  • Monitor the department's portfolio to ensure deadlines are met, including liaising with senior management to regularly communicate progress of work
  • Ensure the department's work trackers are monitored and kept up to date

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience within a similar position.


  • IT literacy

  • Microsoft Office
  • Experience within a similar position dealing with high volumes of work and providing a high level professional service.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technology savvy and with experience of using databases.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to hit the ground running
