    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Line Management Responsibility: Value Stream Leaders, Direct/hourly paid associates.

    EHS Responsibility:

    To be responsible for the implementation of, and compliance with, the provisions of legislation relating to the health and safety of such employees and areas of the workplace as falls under your direct control and for complying with legislation relating to such works and contracts as are within your direct responsibility.

    Leading Operational teams to proactively identify hazards and risks, drive risk reduction as a team at Gemba and leverage 4E tool to continually refresh and reduce risk and waste scoring for our Manufacturing areas.

    Active participation as a member of the Site Senior Leadership Team – supporting all areas of the site and Medical Business.

    Financial & Operational Budget Responsibility:

    Prepare, implement and monitor site medium & long term business plan for the substantial growth of profits.

    Prepare, implement and achieve an annual site operations budget which complies with the Cytiva policies and guidelines.

    Authorisation of purchase orders within the budget requirements.

    Support and lead the Operational implementation of structure and policies which enable the site to comply with all legal requirements. This includes Human Relations, Health & Safety, Environmental and Medical devices.

    Lead and direct teams to ensure the sites KPI's are achieved in accordance with the sites annual targets (Bowler).

    Accountability for Operational Productivity that affects Net Operational Cost (Spread), through proactive deployment of labour utilisation using DBS tools such as Standard Work, Daily Management and effective deployment of Lean Conversion.

    Relentless focus on increasing Good Quality Output through yield improvements and identifying and eliminating product and process wastes.

    Provide leadership and technical expertise to site in the implementation of relevant Production Systems, improvements and production requirements.

    Position Competencies:

    Knowledge & Key Skills:

    Leadership, Management, Team building and Coaching skills

    Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

    Effective decision making / problem solving.

    Lean Manufacturing – Can demonstrate effective facilitation, leadership and team development using Lean methodology to deliver Sustained Operational improvements to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

    Good knowledge and strong understanding of medical practice and GMP

    Ability to think and operate strategically, leading execution of medium and long-term strategies.

    Ability to develop and implement business plans.

    Organisation and project management skills.

    Use of relevant computer systems including SAP, Veeva, Cornerstone, Good Shape, Work Day, Lotus Notes, Excel, etc.

    Essential Qualifications/Education:

    Relevant discipline degree linked to Manufacturing, Management, Operations.

    Essential Previous Experience:

    Demonstrated ability in a senior manager role, ideally within a Medical or Pharmaceutical company, with significant people management responsibility.

    Ability to successfully lead teams in a fast-paced and challenging manufacturing environment.

    Miscellaneous

    Ability and availability to travel on business if required.

    Ability to lead and support a 24/7 manufacturing site (supporting your team outside of normal working hours when and where required).

    Self-motivated and capable of working and managing own time.

    In-depth practical knowledge of applying Danaher Business System (DBS) tools such as Lean Conversion (Daily Management, Push-to-Pull, Cellular Layout, One-Piece Flow and Score-Card deployment), 5S, 4E and PSP.

    As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, be capable of both supporting and leading planned and unplanned projects and focus groups to drive impactful change for the manufacturing site and wider Cytiva business.
