Located in Ghana, this private, non-profit university combines a rigorous multidisciplinary core with degree programs in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, and Engineering.

Ashesi seeks to establish a prestigious School of Leadership which will educate senior leaders in the private and public sectors, with unwavering ethics, critical thinking skills, and empathy to address Africa's most complex challenges.

Graduates from Ashesi's School of Leadership, occupying influential positions within Africa's corporations and governments, will positively impact business practices and public policy to drive the continent's advancement and prosperity.


As the Dean of the School of Leadership, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to shape the School's strategic vision, and foster an academic community committed to cultivating leaders capable of catalyzing transformative change in Africa.

This position reports directly into the Office of the President and is an integral part of Ashesi's Executive team.


Key responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Ashesi School of Leadership.
  • Oversee and grow the School's curriculum and academic programs.
  • Foster an academic community committed to ethics, innovation and excellence.
  • Support recruitment and retention of toptier faculty, staff and students.
  • Act as a representative of the School to the university community and with external stakeholders.

Qualifications:


  • Hold at least a Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership, teaching, and/or academic administration.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Ashesi's mission and values.
  • Exhibit a proven track record of success in developing and mentoring leaders.
  • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an Executive team.
