Are you an established leader with experience of managing high performing systems and performance in an Adult Social Care environment? If so, then this role may be just the one for you


As a Head of Systems and Performance Manager, you will be responsible for all Systems and Performance work across the Adult Social Care and Health Directorate.

You will lead and develop the Systems and Performance Team, working in collaboration with the Adult Social Care and Health Directorate, including the Directors, Assistant Directors, Information Communication and Technology (ICT) systems, Finance and Commissioning, and external stakeholders, to serve the business needs for systems, information, performance analysis/reporting and statutory reporting requirements.

You will be focused on maintaining exceptional performance and delivery in these key areas. Using your expertise, you'll identify and tap into and explore new opportunities where appropriate.


Collaborating with members of the senior management teams, internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure the Adult Social Care and Health Systems and Performance Teams meet client and customer expectations.


You'll use your understanding of operational data and reporting to ensure our key services are running efficiently, making evidence-based interventions to deliver efficiencies and change, with a sustained focus on tax-payer value for money.

Ensuring the digital transformation and transition of systems moves at pace will be a key focus and deliverable.


You'll be an authentic and compassionate people leader, at ease with engaging large numbers of colleagues, and focused on wellbeing and inclusion as well as ensuring we provide a great working environment for all colleagues.

You'll matrix manage those beyond your area to meet shared objectives.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
