I am seeking an experienced
SENCO to join a fantastic specialist SEMH school in Barking. As a
SENCO, you will play a vital role in the school community by ensuring that all students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), receive the support they need to achieve their full potential. In particular, you will be responsible for supporting students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
The school
This is a fantastic SEMH specialist school in East London, supporting students aged All students at this school have an EHCP.
The school are looking for someone who can take a strategic lead within the school with a real focus on inclusion.
The role as a
SENCO
As a
SENCO, you will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement EHCP's for students with SEND, ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of support and intervention to succeed academically and socially.
You will also monitor the progress of students with SEND and provide regular feedback to parents and teaching staff on their progress.
The successful
SENCO will have a passion for working with children and young people with SEMH needs, as well as experience in
SENCO roles in a school setting.
The
SENCO will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
