THE ROLE

Key responsibilities
The Marketing Lead a vital role within Hive Learning.

The role will report into the CEO and be a key part of the team that leads Hive through this next phase of rapid growth.


The successful Marketing Lead will lead our small but mighty marketing team to drive the strategy and execution of marketing activity across both our acquisition and expansion funnels.

This is a hands-on role, so you should expect to spend around 70% of your time setting strategy and coaching the team, and 30% of your time leading proposition work and executing the more challenging parts of our marketing strategy.


Specific duties
The Marketing Lead is a hands and collaborative role working across many teams and customer groups.

The main goals of the role will include:

  • Setting and iterating on the marketing strategy for Hive Learning to ensure consistent revenue growth across our acquisition and expansion funnels, aligning your strategy to the business objectives and the needs of the wider commercial team.
  • Leading the Hive Learning marketing team to ensure consistent high performance and a high standard of execution, while nurturing the talent of those in the function.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the below.

  • Continuously iterating our marketing strategy
  • You'll work with the team to continue to develop a highperforming growth engine, iterating on tactics that we know work well as well as implementing creative new ideas across the funnel and evolving your strategy as new learnings arise.
  • Focusing your team on impact
  • You'll maintain rigorous budget management processes and regularly assess the impact of the bets you've made on where to place money and energy, using that insight to adapt your strategy as you go and keep all key stakeholders informed on what is and isn't working.
  • Own endtoend delivery of marketing
  • You'll be responsible for every part of our marketing operation, including channel partners, sales enablement, product marketing, operations, content marketing, and event marketing on both sides of the funnel.
  • Measuring and reporting on the impact of marketing activity
  • You'll oversee all marketing operations, helping to build a broad picture of your team's effectiveness beyond MQLs and into revenue.
  • Setting direction and managing performance
  • You'll take on the leadership of our marketing team, setting Objectives and KPIs for your team, ensuring they consistently execute all marketing activities to a high standard, and nurturing talent to help them be the best they can be
  • Partnering with the CEO to own our strategic narrative and proposition
  • You'll shape our proposition, own our messaging, and make recommendations on what we sell, to who, and how.
  • Being the voice of the market and the customer
  • You'll align your understanding of the value we create for our customers and the challenges they face with the needs and direction of the broader talent and development market, and feed that back into our messaging, as well as playing that insight back to all senior stakeholders.
  • Being a partner to sales
  • You'll partner with other commercial leaders across the business to ensure that the marketing team are tackling businesscritical challenges, getting inputs and buyin from your team and other stakeholders to create a wellrounded strategy.
