To support in providing a robust, independent, and objective risk oversight and controls assurance of all aspects of the Group's business.

To support and raise awareness across the Group on all matters relating to Risk Management and Assurance.

The client is a Not-for-profit organisation based in Leeds.


Description
The key responsibility of the Risk and Assurance Advisor:

  • To support Directors and Operational Leads to ensure accurate and timely reviews of the Strategic and Operational Risk Registers for the Group, including monitoring assurance on the effectiveness of the internal controls across all three lines of defence
  • Assist operational business managers to ensure that inherent and residual risk calculations are accurate and risk mitigating actions are effective
  • Responsible for gathering information and drafting risk update reports to the leadership teams, Committees and Boards
  • Assist the Executive Team and Leadership Team to review early warning indicators and risk appetite metrics
  • To carry out management audits that may be commissioned by different areas of the business

Profile

The successful Risk and Assurance Advisor will have:

  • Experience in the principles of Risk Management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of building successful relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Eagerness to develop own skills and adapt to change
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and challenge
  • Strong analytical skills

Job Offer
The successful Risk and Assurance Advisor will be offered:

  • £18-£20 an hour (35k equivalent)
  • Remote working available
  • Leeds based
