Seven Education is looking for Family Education Outreach Workers in Torbay

The role:

To form part of a team to provide a stimulating, caring, inviting environment for young children in the home and a supportive atmosphere for parents/carers.

To ensure that the developmental needs of each child are met through the Early Years Foundation Stage

To assist in the planning for the provision and replacement of children's play materials and educational resources, to support the delivery of the early years foundation stage

To attend reviews; case conferences and staff/peer/group meetings as required.

To interact with the children

To contribute to and lead as necessary the planning process, by observing children, and ensure a stimulating range of activities are provided for all children in the home.

To observe, monitor and record children's development

To involve parents/carers in all aspects

To work with the Team Manager to ensure that a service is provided that meets the needs of the children, parents and community as a whole.

To ensure that all children are treated with equal respect and that each child's racial origin, cultural, religious and linguistic background is promoted and given full consideration.

To ensure that equal access is promoted.

To be familiar with the Council's Child Protection Procedure and Special Educational Needs Policy

To ensure the toys, resources and equipment are clean, and cleaning procedures are followed

To ensure outside activities are provided

To attend appropriate programmes/workshops/courses as required
