The purpose of this role is to provide intensive support to customers who are at serious risk of losing their home if intervention is not provided.

The roles main responsibilities is to reduce instances of tenancy failure by:

  • Reducing levels of anti-social behaviour
  • Reducing levels of rental debt owed to Selwood Housing
  • Improving the internal condition of Selwood Housing homes reducing levels of reduction and preventing homelessness
  • Providing guidance and support on affordability and financial hardship
  • Reducing levels of anti-social behaviour
  • Reducing levels of rental debt and monies owed to Selwood Housing
  • Improving the internal condition of Selwood Housing homes
  • Improving levels of tenancy sustainment and preventing homelessness

What we need
For this role you'll need to have the following skills and experience;

  • Experience of working with vulnerable people including those with mental health problems.
  • Experience and ability liaising and working with a wide range of agencies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant housing & welfare update and practice.
  • A methodical, organised approach to work, with the ability to handle a busy, varied workload, and to cope with interruptions and changes calmly, managing the pressure of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience of carrying out risk assessments for residents requiring support.
  • Knowledge of housing and welfare practice and understanding the issues around the misuse of drugs and alcohol, domestic abuse, antisocial behaviour, the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of vulnerable residents while keeping to both the Association's legal requirements and to good practice.
  • A Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check is also obligatory for this post.
  • In addition, a full driving licence is required along with access to a vehicle
